June 11th 2008: marks the one hundredth anniversary of the Town of West Yellowstone. Over the years, the town that grew up at the rail terminus, would host millions of visitors from all over the world on their way to Yellowstone. The Union Pacific Railroad complex built between 1909 and 1929 became the heart of West Yellowstone. Come celebrate the past one hundred years with us in a day of historic presentations and music. Events will be centered on the Oregon ShortLine Terminus Historic Districts' Union Pacific Dining Lodge. Walking tours will be available all day as well as rides in historic White Motor Coach Touring buses. An evening program of music will be provided by the Montana Mandolin Society.
